Latest setback as Suns’ Bradley Beal suffers ankle sprain injury

In the first quarter of Friday’s 139-122 defeat to the New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal endured a sprained right ankle, marking the latest setback in what Coach Frank Vogel terms a “frustrating injury season.

Despite landing a 3-pointer, Beal collided with New York’s Donte DiVincenzo, prompting a flagrant foul. The 30-year-old guard, after moments of pain on the floor, managed to make his free throw but exited the game. A subsequent ruling kept Beal out for the rest of the match.

Despite negative X-rays, Bradley Beal’s injury is another setback for the Suns’ All-Star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Beal. They’ve played together only once this season, in Wednesday’s loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

Beal, in his sixth game this season, has been grappling with a sore back for the past two months, adding to the injury challenges faced by Durant and Booker. Coach Vogel acknowledges the disappointment for Beal and emphasizes the frustrating nature of the season.

Beal contributed six points against the Knicks before leaving the game.
